Although we have a limited supply, this coffee is a perfect fit for our lineup, showcasing just how good a well grown, well processed coffee can taste while still having a flavour profile that works across brew methods and is a perfect daily drinker!
This coffee hails from a region in Columbia called Páez - which is an especially difficult area for producers to export their beans from because of its proximity to the port of Buenaventura and the notable drug trafficking in the area. Thanks to the dedication of a coffee importer named Osito, who helped organize a safe purchasing point for trade in La Plata (on the border of Cauca), producers are now more easily able to deliver their coffee with fewer risks.
The producers who make up ASPROCAFÉ in particular are largely of indigenous descent and their community surrounds the sacred peak of Chumbipe where few outsiders have ever been permitted to visit.
Even though we have a limited supply, we're lucky to have this coffee in our lineup.
